Tally Wallet ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.
Tally Wallet is a mobile expense-tracking application available on iOS and Android. Our contact email is hello@tallywallet.app.
When you use Tally Wallet without signing in, all your data — expense entries, categories, budgets, shared lists — is stored exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. We do not receive or access this data.
If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google to enable cloud sync, we collect:
Creating an account is entirely optional. The app is fully functional without one.
Free-tier users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
On iOS, we request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before any cross-app tracking occurs. On Android and in the EU/EEA, we present a GDPR consent form (Google UMP) before initializing advertising. You may withdraw consent at any time in your device settings.
Premium subscribers do not see ads, and AdMob is not initialized for their sessions.
In-app subscriptions are managed by Adapty and processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive only anonymized subscription status signals (active, expired, trial) — we do not receive or store your payment details.
Voice input is processed entirely by your device's native speech engine (Apple Speech on iOS, Google STT on Android). No audio is ever transmitted to our servers.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your financial data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Local-only data is retained on your device until you uninstall the app or manually delete entries. Account data is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the app, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
EU/EEA residents (GDPR): Our lawful bases for processing are: contract performance (sync, subscriptions), legitimate interest (app improvement), and consent (advertising).
California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know, delete, and opt-out as described above.

Tally Wallet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS for data in transit and row-level security policies in our cloud database. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If you use cloud sync, your data may be stored on servers located in the United States or European Union (depending on your Supabase region). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with applicable data protection law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
